LITTLE THINGS, BIG DIFFERENCE

As we travel, we are trying to help out carefully selected organizations or the local communities. It's not about quantity, it's about understanding what little things could really have a real positive impact on people we will be visiting.

UNIFORMS FOR KIDS IN CAMBODIA

ABOUTASIAschools_NEWYORKPARIS

In Cambodia, we were introduced to About Asia Schools, a wonderful organization based in Siem Reap supporting rural education in Cambodia (thank you Heather from @wanderfullfamily).
On their website, we read the below facts, and decided to do something about it...

Children are not permitted to attend school without a school uniform.
A uniform costs $7.
It doesn't seem like much, but in rural areas many families are subsistence farmers with no income.
The average annual income in Cambodia is just $272.

The result? A zazzle store where each product sold pays for a uniform, therefore allows a child to go to school for a year.
We hope you'll find something you will like! Perfect opportunity to stock up for the kids' birthday parties.
And please, spread the word!

CUBA + GALAPAGOS
(currently closed for donations)

In Cuba and the Galapagos, we are volunteering with IOI.NGO, a non-profit that focuses on supporting marine preservation in isolated, under-resourced areas. They also partner with the local communities to help raise the quality of life through education and social development.

We worked with ioi to put together an AMAZON LIST of little things that would greatly improve life in both communities.
In addition, we are collecting used pencils from our school but also lightly used rashguards or sun hats. If you have some you don't need, we will happily donate them on your behalf.
Every contribution helps, and we will make sure to share with you how it is received by our hosts in Cuba and the Galapagos. Make sure to follow our Instagram and our blog.
